    Xiaxue told The Straits Times that if selected as an Nominated Member of Parliament , she would bring up issues on motherhood, the Internet and the media. Her son, Dash, is five years old and appears regularly in her Instagram feed.

    Known for speaking her mind, Xiaxue has not been afraid of tackling controversial issues, from exposing a negative campaign by Singtel and Gushcloud to discredit rival telcos, to speaking in defence of a mother who was shamed for breastfeeding in public.

I haven’t been doing grassroots work for years like others, not to mention a whole host of other qualifications that perhaps I don’t have.   “Then my friends suggested trying to be NMP instead. I thought about it and researched the process and job scope.
