Connection is the basis of any healthy relationship. As a parent, you need to find ways to connect with your child. Deeply connected parent-child relationships help the child boost their self-esteem and confidence. In order to form and maintain this connection with your child the most important thing you need to understand is that your child is its own person, it has its own temperament and thinking.
Forcing or imposing your ideas on your child will be the major factor to draw your child away from you. On the other hand, if you try to understand and form parent connect with your child, provide your child a safe space to share how he feels or thinks about various things will help him feel safe and connected with you. Build A Shared Space
A child in his growing up years is exposed to many things that he may not know how to process or what to make of, but his young mind needs an explanation for various things that he experiences. Your parent connect needs to create a space where he can share his thoughts and experiences without the fear of being judged or punished. A child will only open up or share things with you if he feels safe emotionally and physically.

Privacy is important to every person. Respect your child’s privacy especially if they are in their teenage. By respecting your child’s privacy you are teaching them to respect other’s privacy. If you try to spy on your child, he will try even harder to hide things from you. He may not share what is important. Give him space and understand that you do not need to know every little detail about his life. Too much control will draw him away from you and he would stop sharing things. Spend Time Together
Spending time with your child is the best way to maintain the connection you have with them. Plan trips and vacations with your kids. Take out time to talk to them about their school and friends. Discuss their favorite TV shows, books, or games. Communication is important and parent connect can go a long way in strengthening your relationship with the child. Communicate on a daily basis.
