Why Joanne Peh stopped breastfeeding her son at 7 months

Think about celebrity mums who follow mindful parenting and Joanne Peh immediately comes to mind.

The beautiful and articulate 36-year-old always seems to give thoughtful, considered answers to media questions on her two kids, who are aged four and two.

While Joanne Peh has been very careful to shield her little ones from the limelight – she still hides their faces in social media posts and doesn’t refer to them by name in interviews – she willingly shares the struggles of motherhood.

Perhaps that’s why she endears herself to other mums – because she’s just like one of us.

Young Parents had the chance to interview her at the launch of Illuma, a premium brand of formula milk that’s said to be the first in Singapore with breakthrough ingredients.

Watch our video to learn how Joanne changed her parenting style when she had her second child, and her decision to stop breastfeeding her son when he turned seven months old.

Joanne also spoke to us about successfully managing screen time in this video.
