So the beach outing has been rained out? Take your little one to Sandy Dandy at Forum The Shopping Mall instead. He’ll still have a great time building sandcastles or rolling around on the powdery sand here.

Opened in April, this new indoor playground is the brainchild of Jennie Tan, a mum with two kids aged five and three.

You’ll find two types of sand here: Kinetic and natural sand. The latter is from the Early Learning Centre brand, and chosen because the produced-in-UK sand has been washed and smoothed so it won’t be scratchy on delicate skin.

Playing here means you won’t be surprised by what could be underneath the sand, such as animal poo or broken glass, Jennie tells Young Parents. This gives parents, especially those with young kids, peace of mind. You won’t have to worry about the weather, either.
